Starting her career as a model in her native Africa, Ivory Coast-born rising artist Aicha Dosso grew-up in Paris, France, in a household with parents admiring Edith Piaf’s music. The atmosphere made her fall deep for Parisian cabaret-style songs, and she made it her goal to revive the forgotten art of her favorite kind of music.
Aicha studied English at La Sorbonne and moved to New York to study method acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. She started as a lead in the award-winning feature BYE BYE AFRICA and played alongside Uma Thurman in Max Winkler’s 2010 film CEREMONY. Recently the multitalented artist released her debut single in French titled “Bien,” meaning ‘good’ in French. It breathes NYC vibes into Parisian Cabaret music, adding a special flavor to it. The poetic, jazzy tones of the song make it an awesome single cementing the successful start of Aicha’s musical career.
