Although Lady Gaga‘s sixth studio album Chromatica arrives midnight, the pop phenom has unleashed one final searing collaboration before the LP officially drops. Gaga’s newest single “Sour Candy” enlists internationally-renowned K-pop girl group BLACKPINK for the latest electronic-oriented construction in the singer’s arsenal, undeniably adding more nuance to the promising dance-pop expectations with Chromatica‘s fast-approaching delivery.
Following their work on Ariana Grande duet “Rain On Me,” collaborators BURNS and BloodPop® have put their hands into producing the new BLACKPINK-assisted joint as well. Showcasing a sultrier, club-driven outlook, “Sour Candy” features the South Korean trendsetter’s sickly sweet vocals juxtaposed against intoxicating beats as Gaga providing automatic diction in accompaniment to the bass line.
