Live Nation brings live music back to New Zealand beginning May 29, presenting the company’s first shows since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The weekly series, titled “Together Again,” will bring a rotating billing of the region’s favorite acts to The Tuning Fork in Auckland.
Those attending the debut performances will see a lineup of comedians on May 29, followed by the Kiwi soul singer Hollie Smith on May 30. To keep the evening safe, Live Nation and The Tuning Fork are taking several precautionary measures, including temperature screening and contact tracing upon entry, as well as a limited capacity and increased contactless technologies.
In a statement about the events, Live Nation New Zealand Chairman Stuart Clumpas claims that “Together Again is an opportunity for us to unite and celebrate the power of live with some of the country’s first socially distanced shows.”
The return of events comes following a drastic drop in COVID-19 cases in recent weeks, allowing New Zealand to celebrate eased restrictions nationwide.
