Primavera Sound has not been short on updates in recent weeks. The Barcelona-based festival postponed its 20th anniversary event to 2021 after COVID-19 continued its impact around the world. Shortly after the postponement, organizers announced the first wave of the 2021 lineup, including artists who remained on the lineup from the event that was supposed to take place this summer.
Primavera Sound’s 20th anniversary boasted an impressive lineup including Pavement, The Strokes, Beck, Tyler the Creator, and many more. These artists remained on the festival’s first wave of its 2021 lineup, with new additions including Gorillaz, Tame Impala, FKA Twigs, Charli XCX, and others. Now Primavera Sound is releasing its phase two lineup a few days after 2021 tickets went live.
Phase two additions include Blonde:Ish, Biscuit, Kurt Vile, Kim Gordon, and more. In addition to announcing the full lineup, Primavera Sound has released which artists are performing on which days. Tickets purchased for 2020 can still be used for 2021. Single-day tickets for 2020 can be transferred to a different day for 2021. New daily tickets go on sale on Thursday, June 11. Festival passes for the full 2021 edition, which is set to take place on June 2-6, are currently on sale on Primavera’s website.
