Victory Restaurant and Lounge Primed to be NYC’s New Home for Culture’s Biggest Stars

Victory Restaurant and Lounge has announced the grand opening of their new restaurant location at 221 W 38th St. in midtown Manhattan, which will provide a wide range of excellent comfort cuisine, cocktails, hookah, and more. DJ SpinKing will provide live music for the grand opening, and other celebrity visitors are anticipated to attend.

The idea for the New York City extension of Victory Restaurant & Lounge came from Mansour Hospitality CEO Jonathan Mansour and Fallou Bathily, who wanted to establish a lavish environment where guests could enjoy five-star meals, premium bottle service, and superb hookah in a quiet restaurant.

A unique “21 Questions” cocktail will be added to the menu in honor of award-winning artist, actor, and entrepreneur 50 Cent. The drink will be a cognac-infused beverage made with Branson Cognac, the famed artist’s brand.

Mansour and Bathily teamed to build Victory Restaurant & Lounge in Miami in 2020, then expanded to open Vendôme, a luxury nightclub in Miami Beach, in 2021. A-List athletes, musicians, and entertainers have graced both arenas, including Lil Baby, Rick Ross, 50 Cent, 21 Savage, 2 Chainz, as well as NBA, NFL, and international soccer icons.

Mansour and Bathily are now bringing their Miami success to New York City, where they are one of the few places with a local hookah license. Monday through Sunday, from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. ET, Victory Restaurant & Lounge will be open.

“We’re incredibly thrilled to expand Victory’s operations into New York City and establish the venue as the newest hotspot in the marketplace,” Mansour and Bathily said. “Our team is committed to creating an elegant establishment and vibrant atmosphere where guests can safely and comfortably enjoy world-class food, cocktails and hookah.”

Executive Chef Wale Smith has devised a menu that contains major items that includes appetizers, entrées, savory side dishes, and desserts. The establishment provides a wide range of options from the Ghanian-born chef, from entrées like Chimichurri Cauliflower Steak to side dishes like Jollof Rice. Smith has worked as an Executive Sous Chef at places including Buddha Bar, Bagatelle NYC, and Gold Coast Catering NYC.
