GRiZ has kept incredibly busy in 2021, and now he’s ready to share his biggest announcement of the year—his seven studio album’s imminent arrival. Setting the album’s roll out with a vibrant output that positions him alongside hip-hop renaissance man ProbCause, as well as powerhouse vocalist Chrishira Perrier, GRiZ has shared the title track to his new LP, Rainbow Brain. Kicking off with an effervescent trap beat, “Rainbow Brain” rapidly escalates into one of GRiZ’s classically funky expressions, joined by ProbCause’s smooth versework. All in all, “Rainbow Brain” finds GRiZ further building out his catalog of psychedelic home runs, pointing to a comprehensive project that packs the best of the producer’s signature neo-funk appeal.
GRiZ will be hitting venues around the country this summer, with stints that include his GRiZMAS double-header in North Carolina, his three-night Another World endeavor in Denver, and his Space Camp festival in Virginia with CloZee, Liquid Stranger, Lucii, Mix Session’s Breakout Artist of 2020 Moore Kismet, and more.
