ODEA joins Synymata’s two-part NIGHTMODE release on ‘Running Out’ with Donna Tella

For the first time, ODEA—one of Dancing Astronaut‘s Artist to Watch in 2023—and Synymata are crossing collaborative lines. Featuring Donna Tella and backed by Insomniac’s fast-rising label NIGHTMODE, “Running Out” enters as part of a two-part label EP from the latter name, which is rounded out by a dueling B-side “You Hurt Me” with Delaney Kai and is a sonic brace of the soundscape he’s built out over the course of a timeline that dates back to as early as 2016.

“Running Out” at its core is an emotive future bass track that comes as a perfectly even split between two boundary-pushing producers, complimented by a sublime vocal from Donna Tella. And the crossover isn’t the first time that both ODEA and Synymata have me with NIGHTMODE, with “Running Out” marking a label reunion for each after “Streets” in 2020 and “Guilty” in 2022, respectively.

ODEA earned a nod into our forenamed artist class behind the strength of a potent 2022 that included official remixes for heavyweights like Said The Sky, Dabin, and William Black. And his succeeding year got off to a hot start with a second consecutive release on Lowly in the form of “Found You” alongside. VAUX. Listen to “Running Out” with Donna Tella via NIGHTMODE below
