Watch Gorillaz and AJ Tracey bring ‘Jimmy Jimmy’ to life on ‘The Tonight Show’

Gorillaz linked with British Rapper AJ Tracey to fittingly perform their new single “Jimmy Jimmy” on The Tonight Show in front of Jimmy Fallon. The band remained virtual with AJ Tracey being the only artist physically on stage performing live. The performance immersed the viewer as if they were watching an animated music video with Tracey as the focal point weaving in and out of Gorillaz’s signature virtual plane of existence.

“Jimmy Jimmy” is one of three tracks that Gorillaz debuted at a two-night concert for NHS workers at O2 Arena in London. The three tracks comprise the band’s new EP, Meanwhile, which was released to celebrate Carnival in West London this past August. Additional singles are “Déjà Vu” with Alicai Harley and title track “Meanwhile” with Jelani Blackman and Barrington Levy.
