Elon Musk denied entry into Berghain, claims to have ‘refused’ admission

Perhaps after long hours of arduous work at Tesla’s new Gigafactory in Berlin, Elon Musk allegedly “refused [to] enter” Berghain the weekend of March 28. The SpaceX mogul pinned his decision on the nightclub’s display of the word “PEACE” on its exterior. “They wrote PEACE on the wall at Berghain! I refused [to] enter,” Musk wrote in a tweet, adding,”Peace. Peace? I hate the word. Those who do care about peace (myself aspirationally included) don’t need to hear it. And those who don’t care about peace? Well …”

Evidently, Berghain’s infamous gatekeeper, Sven Marquardt, has no issue overlooking fame and net worth when evaluating an individual for admission. Moreover, Musk’s impassioned early-morning tweets censuring language reflecting techno’s core values of peace, love, unity, and respect just may have been the result of a potential rejection, stiffened by potential intoxication.

Berghain’s mysterious admissions rubric has always been a global source of speculation. Apparently, Sir Elon Musk simply didn’t fit the bill at this point in time.
