After a successful first run with the virtual Digital Mirage festival, Proximity has returned in partnership with longstanding YouTube channels Trap Nation and Chill Nation with their next virtual project—Room Service Festival. The three-day online festival is the latest of anticipated artist streams to take place during the pandemic lockdowns, and welcomes none other than Andy King to host the festival, the infamous producer, perhaps better known as the “water bottle guy” behind Fyre Festival.
King’s hosting role with Room Service Festival falls in line with the upcoming three-year anniversary of Fyre Festival‘s disastrous attempt to throw the greatest party that never was. In speaking on his involvement with the upcoming virtual festival, King said “I’m beyond thrilled to host Room Service this weekend and bring everybody some well-deserved joy and distraction! This festival gives us a chance to translate the anniversary of Fyre into some real good that’s needed in the world right now.”
Already boasting sets from 100+ artists, Room Service added some late additions to their extensive lineup, including appearances from Lane 8, Feed Me, and The Glitch Mob among many others scheduled to stream during the April 24-26 event.
Room Service will be kicking off the opening set at 12:00 p.m. PST / 3:00 p.m. ET on April 24, 2020. RSVP and donations to their partnering charities, Sweet Relief and Feeding America can be done here.
