Portola 2026 Kicks Things Into High Gear With Dog Blood and Soulwax

Goldenvoice’s Portola festival is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year, and the latest lineup announcement proves the event remains a premier destination for electronic music enthusiasts. Taking place on Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27, at San Francisco’s iconic Pier 80, the festival continues to curate a selection of artists that define the cutting edge of the genre.

This year’s roster is particularly impressive, featuring high-profile acts such as Skrillex, Four Tet, and Swedish House Mafia. Since its inaugural year in 2022, which featured a legendary headlining set from The Chemical Brothers, Portola has established itself as a sanctuary for left-field electronic music, balancing massive headliners with respected veterans and underground innovators.

The Return of Dog Blood

Perhaps the most anticipated highlight of the 2026 edition is the official reunion of Boys Noize and Skrillex as Dog Blood. Following Boys Noize’s recent collaborative work with Nine Inch Nails, the duo is poised to bring their signature blend of industrial-tinged techno and high-energy production back to the stage. Their last major appearances were years ago, making this performance a rare and essential experience for fans of the project.

A Diverse Sonic Landscape

Beyond the headliners, the festival offers a deep dive into various electronic subgenres. Attendees can look forward to a set from Daphni, the alias of Dan Snaith, following his acclaimed ‘Butterfly’ record. Additionally, the live band experience will be elevated by the debut of Parcels, promising a masterclass in disco-infused grooves. Soulwax also makes a triumphant return, bringing both a live set and their immersive Despacio dark tent disco experience to the pier.
