Despite the high-energy nature of her touring and streaming success, the album itself emerges from a place of introspection. Throughout the creative process, the number 22 appeared as a recurring motif, which mölly interpreted as a sign to trust in a timing that remained obscured. What began as a thematic exploration of love and belonging evolved into a deeper, more poignant inquiry regarding the sacrifices necessary to embrace the future.
“Looking back, 22 feels less like an album I made and more like a journey I was asked to take,” she says.
Spanning eleven tracks, ’22’ pushes beyond the conventional boundaries of melodic house. The project incorporates mixed meter time signatures, expansive atmospheric textures, and intricate arrangements, all while maintaining a core of emotional clarity.
