MDLBEAST Records puts Middle Eastern EDM on the map with R3HAB remixing of Myriam Fares’ ‘Goumi’

MDLBEAST Records has taken an innovative step towards promoting Arab pop music and culture to a global audience with the launch of its most recent project. This ambitious undertaking involves the release of a series of unique electronic remixes of songs from leading Arab pop stars.

Leading the pack is Dutch-Moroccan DJ, R3HAB, who is perfectly poised to bridge the gap between the Middle East, North Africa (MENA) region, and the rest of the world. He kicks off the series with a pulsating remix of Lebanese pop star Myriam Fares’ mega-hit, “Goumi.”

R3HAB masterfully blends mainstream Arab pop with a vibrant EDM foundation. The remix is imbued with a cultural richness that is uniquely Arabic, making it a captivating addition to any global dance floor. It opens with Fares’ emotive vocals, intertwined with mystical-sounding instrumentals that evoke the imagery of Arabian nights. R3HAB then infuses his signature touch with a growling, rolling bassline and driving melodies, effectively transforming the original version into a club- and festival-ready anthem.

This series is just the beginning, with many other MENA pop artists set to have their music remixed by some of the world’s top DJs/producers. Mohamed Hamaki, Ahmed Saad, and Amr Diab are among the artists to be remixed, while notable DJs/producers such as Steve Aoki, Salvatore Ganacci, and AFROJACK have already confirmed their participation in this project.
