William Black announces third album, delivers lead single ‘Last Forever’ with Jordan Shaw

William Black is back and better than ever. Following the release of his highly anticipated collaboration with Audien—”Would You Even Know“—Black now makes a swift return to the release radar with an unaccompanied production effort alongside singer-songwriter Jordan Shaw. But “Last Forever” isn’t just any one-off release, with Black confirming that new record kicks off the rollout to his currently unnamed third studio album.

“Last Forever” comes a powerful blend of bass and rock elements, serving out a bevy of emotions that fall on both the somber and uplifting ends. With a thematic core that revolves around cherishing the present moment and embracing the unknown future, Black emphasizes the importance of seizing opportunities without hesitation, stating “life is too short to not take a leap of faith.” And Shaw added that “it’s about being brave enough to jump for something you want and knowing that if it doesn’t work out, at least you gave it your best shot.”

With “Last Forever” as the first taste of what’s to come, everyone can already expect an emotive, sonically diverse collection of songs that showcase Black’s growth as an artist and his ability to push musical boundaries. His incoming Lowly-backed LP follows 2019’s Pages and 2021’s Pieces—which landed a spot on Dancing Astronaut‘s Top Electronic Albums of 2021—as full-length albums from one of the leading artists in the melodic/future bass scene. Black has once again teamed up with Lowly—the record label he first released on in 2017 back when it was Lowly Palace—for his newest body of work.
