Alison Wonderland previews forthcoming ‘Loner’ LP with ‘New Day’

“This time, something shifted me, and I decided that I didn’t want to be the victim anymore,” Alison Wonderland reflected. “Instead, whatever I wrote from here would empower me and help me find strength in this loneliness.”

Reminiscing on her first two albums, 2015’s Run and 2018’s Awake, and the perspective from which she’d like to write her third, she knew her next project must head in a different direction. With newfound inspiration and a different vision, Wonderland has officially launched the pre-order for her junior LP Loner, scheduled to release on May 6.

For Alison, Loner is a rebirth, and delivering this album to the world gives others hope that there are always brighter days ahead. In line with this ethos comes “New Day” via Astralwerks Records. Written, produced, and sung by herself, in true Wonderland fashion, “New Day” situates uplifting vocals over a euphoric melody that leads into a signature futuristic-trap drop.

The official music video for “New Day” takes us back to the Wild West, where Alison is depicted on horseback, riding through the desert. Alison strips the blindfold from her eyes in a display that shows her strength while holding symbolic meaning. “New Day” is not only about pealing back layers and letting go, but also about the empowerment of women.

Loner‘s rollout comes shortly after the announcement of Wonderland’s 2022 North American tour. Tickets to the live initiative are currently available for purchase and can be found here. To support the new album, Alison will play at some of America’s most esteemed festivals and venues, including Ultra Music Festival, Avant Gardner, and Shrine Expo Hall.
